Rising Phoenix Photo Co

Welcome, my name is Daniela!
I'm the girl with the Canon that is usually taking pictures of my food and stopping constantly to capture all the details around me. My travel itineraries may or may not revolve around food and I spend far too much time day dreaming about all the places I want to go, places I want to eat and books I want to read. I live by the mantra of "Eat well and Travel Often."
I was blessed enough that by the time I was 22, I had crossed off 10 countries on my bucket list. It all started when my family moved to the United States when I was 3 years old. At the age of six, I was flying across the ocean with a Kodak Digital Camera in tow. I would spend summers with the rest of my family in Northern Spain, immersing myself in the culture and unplugging from friends back home. I loved the memories I collected, the newfound appreciation for culture and food. Needless to say, I caught the travel bug at a very young age and wanted more.
Once I hit college and started working on my career, I travelled far less and became more anxious every time I did. A part of me became extremely complacent with what I was doing in life. Over the years I’ve tried teaching myself that exploring and discovery aren’t limited to land overseas, or hiking in the mountains. It can come from growing plants at home, or discovering new places to eat nearby.
I hope my blog encourages you to put your fears and reservations aside, to explore your community and to push your personal boundaries. Take those adventures, big and small, abroad or right around your neighborhood and most importantly to eat really good food, love your life wherever you are and travel smartly.
